Jobs To Avoid Even If You Are Desperate

As most of the online job hunters could tell you, the online jobs recruiting sites are full of job offers. But are those really jobs, or just a waste of time?

Let's browse a little some of the most important recruiting sites from the world. They are full of jobs. Though, at a closer look, the situation isn't so pink anymore.

Especially in the Eastern Europe recruiting sites, there are ads that sound like this: "USA company is hiring hostess/ hotel staff/ baby sitters in US. Salaries can go up to $7000". In fact, these ads are fake, or if they are real, the real "employer" behind those ads are criminals that are looking for naive people - especially women - in order to take them in foreign countries and to force them into prostitution. In the case of men, they are also taken to foreign countries, they are taken their passports and they are forced to work without being paid. Therefore, whenever you will hear a job ad that sounds too good to be true - especially from a non reputed company - mistrust it and don't even bother to go for that job.

Also, if you aren't that kind of person that has more than 2500 real friends, don't ever go for the MLM jobs. They will promise you salaries of thousands and hundreds of thousands if you sell their products. But, in order to sell them - and they are usually cheap products, unwanted by most of the people or too expensive to be bought by a large number of people - you will have to stress all your friends and the people you know in order to make a decent salary. After some weeks of hard work, you will see that your commission isn't as big as you'd expected, and therefore you will be tempted to quit as you will realize that it isn't possible to stress all the persons you know with calls and meetings where you will try to sell your products. Though, the only ones that will be really earning will be the ones that have subscribed you into the program, as they will get a commission from all your work. Doesn't sound too good, does it?

As a general rule, if it sounds too good to be true, then don't go for that ad as, most probably, you will have only unpleasant accidents with that job.

Job Ads

You need to know the locations of available jobs. What is the best method to search available jobs in my area? First, I would check out the internet. There are several major job sites which list millions of jobs. Next, I would check out your local newspaper. The newspaper might list positions not listed on the internet. Third, I would ask friends and ask local employers. Finally, I might post a classified ad either on the internet or in a newspaper. All of these methods can help you find available openings in your area. They make your job search much easier.
